Home row, level 3 of 40
Level 3: S and L
Train your ring fingers on S and L, the weakest pair for most people.
- To pass: 90% accuracy and 7 WPM
- Free to use
- Runs in your browser
What you will learn
Your ring fingers are the least independent of the four, which is why they get a level of their own. The left ring finger presses S and the right ring finger presses L.
While one finger moves, keep the others resting on their home keys. That stops your hands drifting across the keyboard.
Practise level 3
Tips for this level
- If a ring finger feels clumsy, that is normal. A few minutes of slow practice makes a clear difference.
- Keep the rhythm even: one key, then the next, without rushing the easy ones.
- Watch the highlighted key and the finger name above the keyboard, not your hands.
