What is QR Code Generator?
A QR code is a square pattern of dots that a phone camera can read in a moment. Instead of typing a long web address, a WiFi password or a payment ID, people simply scan the code and their phone does the rest. This QR code generator turns five common kinds of information into a code you can download: a web link, plain text, WiFi login details, a contact card and a UPI payment request. You can change the colours and size, and save the result as a PNG for screens and documents or as an SVG for printing at any scale.
How Does It Work?
Each type formats your details in a standard way that phones understand. A link is encoded as it is, WiFi uses the WIFI: format, a contact follows the vCard standard, and a UPI code becomes a upi://pay link that payment apps recognise. The text is then converted into the grid of squares by a small open-source library running on your device. Error correction is built in, so a code stays readable even if it is slightly smudged. Everything is created in your browser. Nothing you type, including WiFi passwords and payment IDs, is uploaded or stored anywhere.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my QR code expire?
No. The code holds the information itself and is not linked to a service, so it works as long as that information is valid. A link code stops working only if the website it points to goes away.
Which colours scan best?
A dark code on a light background is the most reliable. Keep strong contrast between the two, and avoid putting a lighter code on a darker background, because some scanners cannot read inverted codes.
Should I use PNG or SVG?
Use PNG for websites, chats and documents. Use SVG when printing posters, shop signs or packaging, since it stays perfectly sharp at any size.
How do I make a UPI payment QR code?
Choose UPI and enter your UPI ID, such as name@bank. You can add your name, a fixed amount and a note. Scanning the code with any UPI app opens a payment request with those details filled in.
Is it safe to put my WiFi password in a QR code?
Yes, because the code is built on your device and never uploaded. Anyone who scans the printed code can join your network, though, so display it only where you are happy for guests to connect.
