Words and phrases, level 31 of 40
Level 31: Greetings and polite phrases
Type short, polite phrases and greetings, the kind you write in messages every day.
- To pass: 95% accuracy and 27 WPM
- Free to use
- Runs in your browser
What you will learn
Real writing is made of phrases, not single words. This level uses greetings, thanks, questions and polite requests, each a short sentence that starts with a capital letter and ends with a full stop or question mark.
Every capital needs the Shift key on the opposite side, so keep your pinkies ready. Short phrases are a good way to practise starting and ending a sentence smoothly.

Tips for this level
- Decide which Shift key to use from the letter that follows the capital.
- Finish each phrase with its full stop or question mark before you think about the next one.
- Polite phrases are worth knowing by heart, because you will type them all the time.
