What you will learn
Touch typing starts from the home row, the middle row of letter keys. Rest your left index finger on F and your right index finger on J. Both keys have a small raised bar, so you can find them by touch.
In this level you only press F and J, one with each index finger. Keep your other fingers curled lightly over the home row, your thumbs close to the space bar, and look at the screen rather than at your hands.

Tips for this level
- Tap each key lightly and let the finger spring straight back to its home key.
- Go slowly at first. Accuracy comes before speed, and speed follows on its own.
- The on-screen keyboard marks F and J with a short line, just like the bars on a real keyboard.
